The Nigerian army has said it will not waste time to repeat the horrific event that happened at Lekki Toll Gate on 20th October 2020 should such a situation happen again.
Speaking at the Judicial panel in Lagos, the army General made some submissions which the panel contested strongly because it sounded unreal.
According to him, the Nigerian army did not shoot live rounds at the unarmed protesters at Lekki Toll Gate, rather it was the protesters who attacked the army with pellets and stones.
Reacting to a question on how the army plans to respond to such a situation should it occur in the future, General Taiwo said the army will repeat the same action as it did on the night of 20th October 2020.
