Nigerian socio-political activist Aisha Yesufu has advised women to reject the label of a ‘good wife’ because it’s a leash.
Agreeing with a post that says being a good wife means you have to pretend to be who you are not and bending over backwards to please society, Aisha advised women to reject it.
According to her, the ‘good wife’ label is a leash that is used to control women who might end up becoming a ghost of themselves because they want to be good wives.
